American Express has announced it will open a new Centurion Lounge at the Tokyo Haneda (HND) Airport sometime in 2025. The lounge will be 7,300 square feet (683 square meters) and have a capacity of 122 seats. It will be the first Centurion lounge to open in Japan.

… The Centurion Lounge is one of American Express's symbolic travel services, and we promise to provide Japanese customers who use Haneda Airport for overseas travel or business trips with a high-quality and comfortable experience before departure. We will also deliver the charm of Japan and the high-quality service unique to American Express to inbound customers, whose numbers are expected to continue to increase. We will continue to hone the travel experience value that American Express can provide and pioneer the market in the premium travel category in the card industry.

Closing Thoughts

It's exciting to see another international Centurion Lounge open. There are currently 26 Centurion Lounges located around the world. This will be the fourth Centurion Lounge to open in Asia, following Delhi (DEL), Mumbai (BOM), and Hong Kong (HKG). There are very few details about this lounge, but based on its size, I think it will be very busy and likely waitlisted.
