Delta Air Lines has opened its remodeled and expanded Sky Club in Miami. The newly renovated lounge opened its doors on April 9, 2024. The Miami lounge grew the seating capacity by 50% and therefor added room for over 300 customers, spanning over 12,000 square feet (1,115 square meters). The lounge is open daily from 04:45 to 19:30 (7:30 pm) and is located in the H-J terminal connector.

Miami is an important global transport hub, with increasing prominence in the Delta network,

Claude Roussel, Vice President – Sky Clubs and Lounge Experience.

The new lounge design brings bright colors representing Miami and its beaches. There is a mosaic that pays homage to the classic Art Deco design found around the city. The club's expansion features a new service buffet and an additional beverage station to support the extra guests. The upgraded areas include dining tables, communal tables, power outlets at almost every seat, and upgraded showers. From the updated lounge, guests can enjoy the view of the H Concourse below.

The Miami Sky Club expansion kicks off a phase of continued growth for Delta lounges, with two new Delta Sky Clubs coming to Charlotte (CLT) and Seattle (SEA). Three highly anticipated Delta One Lounges are also opening at JFK, LAX, and BOS.

Delta will offer 34 peak-day flights this summer from Miami to 12 destinations, including international service to Havana, Cuba. All service will be operated on Delta mainline equipment, with premium cabin classes available across flights.

Later this year in December, Delta will add daily service from Miami (MIA) to Seattle (SEA). This route addition will extend Delta to all of its nine U.S. hubs (ATL, BOS, LGA, JFK, MSP, DTW, LAX, SLC and SEA), as well as service to Raleigh (RDU), Orlando (MCO), and Washington D.C.

Closing Thoughts

I visited the Miami Delta Sky Club in April 2023 (one year before the remodel) and had a feeling the lounge needed a refresh. From what I have seen, this new lounge looks very nice and has more room for comfort. Miami has eight lounges, including American, Delta, Centurion, LATAM, Turkish, and a Military lounge.
