Emirates will Stream World Cup 2022 Matches Onboard Flights and in Lounges
Emirates (UAE/UK) has announced all FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 matches will be televised live on Sport 24 onboard and in airport lounges, including the final match on December 18, 2022.
The channels will be available on the airline's award-winning inflight entertainment system known as ice. More than 200 Emirates aircraft are equipped with live TV, featuring dedicated sports channels (Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra) and more. Emirates passengers in all classes can browse world-class entertainment with over 5,000 channels of on-demand entertainment, over 1,700 movies, and 1,500 hours of TV. The matches will also be screened in the A380 onboard lounges and Emirates lounges around the world.
Lounge Access
Emirates Lounges are accessible on a complimentary basis to First and Business Class passengers, as well as Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members.
Premium Economy and Economy Class passengers can pay to access the lounge and enjoy the matches with beverages and unlimited snacks. Emirates lounges offer buffet dining, showers, free Wi-Fi, and a private business center.

Closing Thoughts
The worldwide anticipation and viewership of the World Cup (held every four years) is massive. Not only will this help with long flights but it will also bring people together with a common interest in lounges around the world. I would like to see other airlines announce this but as of now, Emirates is the only one that has announced this coverage.
