Lounge Review: Delta Sky Club - Boston Airport (BOS) Terminal E
While on a recent trip to Boston (BOS), I had a chance to pop into the new (opened in August 2023) Delta Sky Club located in Terminal E (International Terminal). This is a large lounge spanning 21,000 square feet (1,951 square meters) with a capacity for 400 guests. I was only in the lounge for about one hour, but I was very impressed with the modern and well-designed lounge.
Location and Access
The lounge is located in Terminal E near gate E13 on level 4. It is currently open from 05:00 to 01:00 (1 am). When I was there I was flying out of Terminal A, so I took the shuttle bus, which quickly connects Terminal E to Terminal A. The bus ride took about 10 minutes, and I got some great views of planes (#AVGeek) as we drove along the ramp area. The shuttle bus picks up right across from the lounge, so getting to Terminal E from Terminal A (or vice versa) was a snap. Once inside of Terminal E take the elevator or the stairs to reach the Sky Club lounge.
Since I was visiting Terminal E when no Delta flights were operating, there was no line or wait, and besides employees, there were only two people in the lounge, including myself! I accessed the lounge using my American Express Delta Reserve credit card.
Lounge Amenities
The first thing I noticed when I entered the lounge was an abundance of art. I have been seeing more and more lounges incorporate art into the décor. I have seen two Delta Sky Clubs provide art pamphlets (LGA and BOS) so you can have a mini-museum experience while visiting. Following the pattern of other Delta Sky Club there was a great assortment of magazines, a flight information board, and friendly customer service. The lounge also had terrific views of downtown Boston.
Seating and Work Areas
As mentioned, the lounge has a capacity for 400 people, which means it needs places for people to sit and relax. I was very happy to see a variety of sofas, chairs, conference tables, dining tables, high-top tables, and very nice noise-isolating booths (including a wheel chair accessible one). There were charging ports (A/C, USB-A, and USB-C) throughout the lounge on tables, chairs, booths, and near all seating areas.
Restrooms and Showers
I think the restrooms and shower rooms are the nicest I have seen at any lounge I have visited. They were not only spotless but also roomy and private. I got a tour of the shower rooms and was really impressed. The lounge has a feature also seen at the Austin (AUS) Sky Club, which I love: the hands-free door opening sensor. Just wave your hand, and the door will automatically open. The restroom had private stalls all in marble, brass, and wood finish. The restrooms are stocked with Grown Alchemist soap products which are a always a treat when washing your hands or showering.
Food and Beverage
I arrived around lunchtime. When I visited, the lounge opened at 13:00 (1 p.m.), and there were lots of great food options. I got to the lounge so early that they were still setting out food. The items were clearly labeled for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dining.
Menu items on the lunch buffet consisted of turkey sandwich with brie and apple, a charcuterie and chesses, cookies, brownies, cannolis, parker house rolls, yankee pot roast, vichy carrots, scalloped potatoes, plant based crispy chicken, cranberry quinoa crunch salad, roasted beet salad, dill hummus, Miss Vickie's chips, and much more.
Throughout the lounge there were beverage stations offering coffee, espresso, tea (with ginger, honey, and lemon), soda machine, water, and more. The lounge only had one full-service bar (located in the middle of the lounge) but it was large with lots of seating. The bar offers local craft beers (no upcharge), cocktails, and premium drinks that can be purchased.
Internet and Quietness
I forgot to do an internet or sound test, but even if I did, the numbers would have likely been skewed since only two people were in the lounge.
Overall Rating: 4.5
Pros: panoramic views of downtown Boston, art, great food options.
Cons: no outdoor (patio) area or views of ramp area, no kids area.

Closing Thoughts
I have been to many Delta lounges, and this is one of the nicest I have visited. They had the most vegetarian/healthy options I have ever seen in a lounge. I will say visiting a Sky Club with no people was kind of strange, but also kind of nice to have the place to myself.
