United Airlines opened its newest and largest lounge at its Denver International Airport (DEN) hub on September 13th, 2023. This new club has 600 seats across three levels and covers 35,000 square feet. This B concourse location is the largest club in United Airlines' entire world and is located near gate B44 at the west end of the terminal. The lounge is open daily from 05:00 to 21:30 (5 am to 9:30 pm). The opening of this lounge completes United's investment of nearly $1 billion in improving customer service at the Denver International Airport (DEN).

The new United Club looks amazing, with floor-to-ceiling windows, fireplaces, and local art. This lounge brings in a modern design with room to relax. The venue gets inspiration from Denver’s urban areas. The space features details such as concrete flooring, hand-crafted décor, leather seating, and exposed ceilings with a sleek design including photography, paintings, and murals.

Food and Drinks

The lounge features some brewery-inspired elements and a new beer-tasting experience at the feature bar on the mezzanine level. Travelers can choose from a seasonal rotation of 10 local and craft beers on tap, with selections from Colorado breweries such as New Belgium, Great Divide, Denver Beer Company, Upslope, and others (some beers have an upcharge). You can also purchase a flight of beer to have a real-life brewery experience. Besides the beer choices. there is also a full-service bar with a range of wines and cocktail options.

On the dining front, expect offerings with a local flair, including oatmeal paired with Colorado honey; egg frittatas inspired by the Denver omelet (ham, bell peppers, red onion, spinach, and cheddar cheese); Colorado Club sandwiches; and pork green chili.

Both the A and B concourse lounges also offer similar amenities: high-speed Wi-Fi and self-scan entry gates for seamless access. Throughout the club, there is ample seating, which includes sofas, booths, chairs, and isolated areas for working. Charging can found all around the lounge, including USB-A/USB-C plugs. One feature I see more often in lounges is adding a wellness room. This area is a quiet space for travelers such as nursing mothers or those looking to meditate or pray in a private area.

We're growing our hub in the Mile High City, and the expansion and renovation of United Club locations represents our commitment to Colorado and our customers' experience.

Alexander Dorow, United's Head of Clubs & Lounges

This new club in terminal B, plus the other lounge upgrades in Denver (DEN), will bring the total United Airlines lounge space to over 100,000 square feet before the end of 2025. United said around two-thirds of its passengers pass through Denver (DEN) for connecting flights. This lounge, plus the new lounge in Terminal A, can now accommodate more than double the number of passengers before.

Closing Thoughts

Denver currently has a total of 8 lounges and 3 of those are United Club lounges. United has a clear policy for lounge access and also offer a ($59) one-time pass for single-use access. Although, this lounge does not have an outdoor patio or showers it does look amazing and modern. I look forward to visiting this lounge in the future.
