Star Alliance Amsterdam Lounge Now Offering Paid Entry Access
The Star Alliance Lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) airport now offers paid lounge access. This addition makes Amsterdam their fifth (Star Alliance) lounge to offer paid entry access, following Rio De Janeiro (GIG), Buenos Aires (EZE), Rome (FCO), and Los Angeles (LAX). This paid access option is now offered to passengers on Star Alliance member airlines, regardless of cabin class or membership status.
The Amsterdam lounge is located in the Departures Hall 2 in Schengen area upper level (3) near the D gates, next to the Aspire Lounge. The lounge features a contemporary space inspired by Holland landscapes. Decorated with original Dutch furniture and art. The lounge offers free Wi-Fi and dedicated spaces for business and leisure flyers, including personal work booths, a communal worktable, a bar, and spacious dining and relaxation areas. The lounge has accommodation for up to 150 guests.
Access to the lounge is subject to availability passengers can now pre-book access to the lounge for a cost of €50 for three hours of access. Guests can purchase passes on the Star Alliance website. Upon purchasing, a confirmation email will be sent with a QR code valid for the day and time selected, which can be scanned at the lounge entrance.

Closing Thoughts
Nice to have another paid lounge option in Amsterdam (AMS). Since there are six Star Alliance lounges around the world, Paris (CDG) is now the only location not offering paid access.
