United Club Fly - Grab N'Go Lounge Opens at Denver International

United Airlines has opened a new type of lounge for travelers in a rush who wish to still benefit from their lounge memberships. The new lounge named "United Club Fly" provides a quick option for grabbing a snack and/or beverage between flights. The first location has opened at Denver International Airport (DEN/KDEN) on Thursday (November 3rd, 2022) near gate B61 (east expansion). The lounge is open to anyone with a United Club membership, day pass, or an international business class ticket through United.

those who are time constrained or simply looking for good food and drink all the while preserving space in our facilities for those who have a little more time

This new 1,600-square-foot mini-lounge only has 16 seats, the design features a one-way flow to keep people moving through the lounge. Once you scan your boarding pass at the automated entrance gate you will have access to various options. The takeaway section features prepackaged sandwiches, wraps, salads, cheese, vegetables, yogurts, chips, cookies, and fruit. This location does not serve alcohol but does have an upscale coffee bar featuring hand-crafted coffees, as well as other options for soft drinks, teas, and juices. There is also a filtered water-bottle filling station, like the ones you see around the terminal area. One additional great touch is a flight information board (like you see in other lounges) where you can check update-to-date flight information. Once you are done you just simply walk out of the turnstile.

Closing Thoughts

With so many United flight operations in Denver, I am surprised they only have one main lounge as well as a pop-up. This grab-and-go option will be a nice addition for those who don't have time to visit the main lounge. Another advantage to this Fly Lounge is that it will also help with overcrowding in the main United Club Lounge. I really like the idea of these small pop-up lounges that are offering to-go options. Other locations such as Air Canada Café (YYZ), Alaska Airlines "Express" Lounge (PDX), and the Capital One Lounge (DFW) are also offering to-go options.
