VIP One Lounge and Fast-Track Through Security (JFK)

I recently learned of a concierge-like service for customers travelling out of Terminal 1 at New York (JFK) airport. The VIP One service offers travelers a separate and private fast-track security checkpoint for entry, as well as a lounge. The service is available from 08:00 to 00:00 (midnight) daily. The exciting news is that this service is now complementary to Priority Pass members.

The VIP One lounge is located on Level 2 behind counters E and F in Terminal 1, next to the TSA checkpoint. The service is offered in three tiers: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The VIP One Silver tier is priced at $45 per person per visit and grants access to the lounge and private TSA security checkpoint. First Class passengers on Air France, Korean Air, and Lufthansa can also enjoy complimentary access to this level of service. The next level is the VIP One Gold service, priced at $100, which includes curbside assistance with luggage, check-in assistance, and an escort to the boarding gate or lounge that the passenger already has access to. The highest level of service, VIP One Platinum, priced at $200 per person per visit, is similar to the Gold tier, with the only additional perk being an escort to both the lounge and boarding gate. Children below the age of 12 are included in a single service fee. Gold and Platinum service must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.

The Lounge

The lounge appears to have ample seating, tables, and places to relax before the flight. According to the Priority Pass page, the lounge has alcohol, Wi-Fi, and refreshments.

JFK Terminal 1 has a total of 8 lounges, and 6 of them have access offered by a Priority Pass membership. The current (T1) Priority Pass lounges are the KAL Business Class Lounge, the Turkish Airlines Lounge, the Primeclass Lounge, the VIP One Lounge, the Lufthansa Business Lounge, and the Air France Lounge.

Closing Thoughts

This service seems like a nice perk to help avoid the crazy TSA lines common in Terminal 1 at JFK. According to my research, JFK Terminal 1 does not offer CLEAR or a dedicated TSA Precheck line, so this service is even more valuable. I wish the VIP One service was available in other terminals besides Terminal 1, but this is exciting news for those on international flights. Also, to learn more about the lounge, I read the reviews on their Google Maps page. Most of the reviews were five stars, with people raving about how fast and nice this service was.
