New United Club Terminal C in Newark International Airport (EWR)
United has opened another club in Newark International Airport (EWR) in addition to their recently opened club in Terminal A, which opened in June 2023. This new location in Terminal C, near Gate C74, opened to the public on October 11, 2023. This location is open daily from 05:00 to 22:30 (10:30 pm) and spans 18,000 square feet.
The opening of this newest location completes the airport expansion that United has been working on at their Newark clubs. This new lounge joins three other Newark United Clubs, which are located near the A27, C102, and C123 gates. Each of these clubs present travelers with modern design, local art, enhanced amenities, and culinary offerings. The expansion of these lounges has more than doubled the United Club space in Newark.
Travelers can experience a sense of place that reflects the iconic spaces in midtown Manhattan. The club features seating for more than 400 guests, giving visitors plenty of room to relax, work, dine, and socialize. Also, located in the club entryway, the ceiling art piece is blue with vibrant gold detailing and is inspired by Grand Central Station. Members can self-scan to enter the space for easy entry and quick access. The club also includes free high-speed Wi-Fi, working areas, and a wellness room.
This new Terminal C location is equipped with a full buffet and premium bar offering complimentary food and beverages. The seasonally rotating menu offers a range of choices, including local touches like apples from the Hudson Valley to snack on, as well as the official New Jersey state sandwich: Taylor ham, egg, and cheese.
Note: The pop-up United Club located in Terminal C, near Gate C93, has also been closed since it is no longer needed with this nearby lounge.
Closing Thoughts
Newark currently has eleven total lounges, including a USO lounge. The renovations that have been done at the United Clubs likely make these United Clubs the nicest lounges in the airport. I have not been to Newark (EWR) for many years, but if I were a United regular, these new lounges would be at the top of my list.
